Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to the new era at their club under Marcelo Bielsa, and will certainly be hoping that they can bring in a number of additions to help their cause.
The Whites appointed the former Argentina and Chile international manager last week and signalled their ambitions with his arrival – however, it looks as though he may already have a tough decision to make when it comes to possible transfer acquisitions.
And that’s because, according to Phil Hay, who is The Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer, Bielsa will need to make a choice between either Abel Hernandez or Matej Vydra, as the club seemingly cannot get both this summer.
loads of competition for Vydra but Bielsa likes him a lot. Hernandez can be done but will cost a lot of cash, despite being a free agent. Leeds reckon they can afford him – but need to decide where to put their money. Can’t do both.

The journalist has revealed that the new boss does have a preference for the Derby County striker, despite a lot of competition for his signature, yet they know they can get the Uruguay international on a free transfer following his departure from Hull City.
Thus, the new Leeds chief is facing a pretty tricky decision this summer, with little under two months before the start of the new Championship season.
Landlord’s Verdict: The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be interested to see who Bielsa decides to bring to Elland Road this summer, with both proving to be potential signings.
Vydra is expected to come with a hefty price-tag, yet his goal-scoring record in the Championship speaks for itself, as can Hernandez, although he will be available on a free transfer but his contract could prove costly to the Whites.
Only time will tell what avenue Bielsa seeks to go down this summer.
