Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting a number of changes to be made, and will want to see what Marcelo Bielsa can bring to the team following his appointment.
The Chilean was named as the head coach last week, and the locals will be hoping to see him use his contacts and name to lure some key targets to Elland Road in order to help them get Premier League football once again.
However, it appears that one man may not be on his radar, despite having been on the Whites for the majority of the summer, with Phil Hay suggesting a deal may have gone ‘cold’.
The journalist, who is the chief football writer for The Yorkshire Evening Post, took to Twitter to answer a question from one of the locals about the possibility of bringing Kyle Bartley back to Elland Road, but he did not offer the answer the residents would have hoped.
Pretty sure Pochettino would let him come. Bartley deal seems to have gone cold for now. Someone said to me a few weeks back that it might take until later in the summer to get that one right in terms of valuation etc. Honestly don’t know if Bielsa wants him though.

He stated that he felt the Bartley deal had appeared to go cold, whilst he was not sure if Bielsa had the interest in bringing him back to the Whites.
And this update is unlikely to thrill our resident Whites supporters, many of whom were hopeful that the centre back would indeed make the move to Elland Road this summer.
Landlord’s Verdict: The news will be disappointing to the locals in the Tavern, as they would have liked to have seen the 27-year-old back in the white of Leeds United.
Hope still does remain around the bar as the punters will hope that Hay may have got this one wrong, but signs suggest that Bartley will not be moving to Yorkshire this summer.
Leeds fans… what do you make of the news? Let us know!
