Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting a number of players to arrive at Elland Road this summer following the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa as the club’s new manager.
The Chilean was appointed as the new manager of the Yorkshire outfit last week, and is believed to want to make a number of signings to help strengthen the squad and compete for a place in the Premier League.
The locals have started to become concerned over the past few days with their activity in the transfer window, with some taking to social media to ask the question on whether there were any updates regarding any possible target.
And, according to Phil Hay, who is the chief football journalist for The Yorkshire Evening Post, there are doubts about whether two names in particular will arrive at Elland Road this summer, for the time being anyway.
Hernandez/Vydra/Gunn still very much options. Wages Leeds are prepared to pay Stockdale fall below what he’d be looking for. Bartley really hasn’t moved forward.

It is believed a move for David Stockdale could be difficult to conclude with a concern over wage demands as Leeds are not prepared to pay what he would like, whilst a move for Swansea City’s Kyle Bartley has not moved forward.
And this recent update is unlikely to delight our resident Whites supporters, what with it less than two months before their side kick off the 2018/19 Championship campaign against recently-relegated Stoke City.
Landlord’s Verdict: The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be disappointed that the chances of bringing either Stockdale or Bartley to Elland Road do not look very good at the moment.
Stockdale would bring a huge amount of experience to the side in an area that the Whites need to strengthen, whilst Bartley would also help to sure up the defence immediately, and has previously had a successful partnership with Pontus Jansson during a loan switch a couple of seasons ago.
