After a very promising start to the season, Leeds United have since hit a few bumps in the road with a 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park coming as the latest one.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men, though, will quickly have the chance to put that poor result behind them when they welcome bottom of the Championship table Ipswich Town to Elland Road tomorrow night, which appears to be an easy fixture on paper and the perfect opportunity to bounce back.
However, with Paul Hurst’s wounded side entering the match as clear outsiders, it could be the sort of game where they fully express themselves and go all out with no one expecting them to take anything back to Portman Road.
With that in mind and considering the wobble Leeds are currently going through, Wednesday night’s clash could be a real test of character for Bielsa and his men and a more difficult challenge than it initially appears to be.
That being said, with Bielsa in the Elland Road dugout, Leeds always look capable of doing damage to their opposition.
Under the Argentinian coach, the Yorkshire club have been playing some amazing stuff from back to front with the defenders persistent on playing out of the back and forwards attacking in numbers and pressing relentlessly when out of possession.
Considering everything, Leeds have probably started off better than most would have expected them to with this being Bielsa’s first stint in English football and the Championship.
But given such a promising beginning to the campaign, Leeds supporters will no doubt be awaiting the return of some consistency with the club’s upcoming encounter against Ipswich presenting a great chance to get the ball rolling again.
