Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping dearly that this season coming is the one that finally sees them return to the Premier League.
The men from Elland Road have been outside the top flight since their infamous relegation in 2003/04 and since then it really has been a tumultuous time more often than not.
Even so, there is an air of real optimism at the club at the moment and so now it is up Thomas Christiansen to try and deliver on that in his first season in charge.
How he does, then, remains to be seen but whilst we wait to discover some answers Leeds fans have also been tracking the movements of some of their former players – including Jordan Botaka.
Indeed, Phil Hay has brought his latest move to STVV in Belgium to Leeds fans’ attentions and that has created quite the discussion on Twitter.
Here, then, is the best of the reaction:
Ex-Leeds winger Jordan Botaka has agreed a three year deal with Belgian club STVV. #lufc

What do you reckon: about £2m in fee and wages for one failed stepover in a Leeds shirt?
— CK (@ephemeraljoy) June 27, 2017
At least better than a failed bicycle kick to look stupid & get ur goalie in serious bother!

Surely that’s just comparing 2 pieces of rubbish you’re throwing out though?
