‘It would be a good move,’ ‘Pointless signing’ – Leeds fans left divided at new transfer rumour

Leeds supporters lining the up in the Transfer Tavern are calling for another round of drinks, as news of further incomings beckons on the horizon.

It’s certainly an exciting time for Leeds supporters, the toxicity associated with Massimo Cellino has long departed with new ownership.

Andrea Radrizzani is now the owner of Leeds United and is set to exercise his financial power in the transfer window.

Deals for Hadi Sacko and Mateusz Klich are already complete.

The latest player rumoured to be bolstering the Leeds ranks is Werder Bremen goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald, Phil Hay -Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer – has confirmed the news.

The 27-year-old is well accustomed to life in Germany having represented MSV Duisburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen, although he has never played club football outside of his native Germany.

Wiedwald shared the number 1 position with Jaroslav Drobny at Bremen, yet towards the latter stages of last season, he established himself as a prominent figure as Bremen secured an eighth place finish in the Bundesliga.

Our landlord believes this could be a stellar acquisition for Leeds.

The experienced German is recognised for his impressive passing ability and his eagerness to come off his line – not too dissimilar to Manuel Neuer.

Leeds fans in the Tavern have turned to Twitter to express their delight at the prospect of signing the goalkeeper….
