Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are happy with the start their side has made this season with their club winning 3-2 at Bolton yesterday afternoon.
The men from Elland Road started brightly against the Trotters with Kalvin Phillips sweeping home to give them a lead.
From there, Chris Wood and another Phillips effort helped seal the win and many fans here by the bar were pleased with the amount of control the club had in the game.
Of course, things will need to be worked on as the win could have been more comfortable than the scoreline suggested and a couple of defensive injuries would have been ideally avoided but, overall, it was a decent day’s work.
And, after the match, manager Thomas Christiansen took to social media to reflect on the win and thank the travelling away support – leaving many to react to the post.
Here, then, is the best of what was said:
Great beginning of the season with first 3 important points. Thanks for the support of our fans… https://t.co/Y4xYu3WpjP
