Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait to see their side continue their surge for the Premier League this weekend with their squad looking very strong.
The Whites really have been one of the best sides in the Championship this year and if it hadn’t been for their slow start to the campaign they’d surely be right near the top two.
Even so, they’re not that far off of getting into those positions if they can keep their form up – starting with a game against Reading this weekend.
Garry Monk has put together a very strong squad whilst he’s certainly got the best out of the players who were already there when he arrived.
Indeed, the likes of Souleymane Doukara certainly fit into that bracket with him putting in some good showings this year.
And, in light of that, it appears that he has got a contract extension with the club.
As reported by Phil Hay on Twitter, Doukara has revealed that he now has another year to stay at the club at least – rather than seeing it expire this summer:
Doukara was announced on a three year deal in 2014 but he said today he’s got another year left, to end of next season. #lufc
