Landing this £203k-rated winger would be clever transfer business for Leeds United

The Leeds United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are wondering just how exactly the club can improve in the summer. Indeed, with Paul Heckingbottom now installed as the club’s new manager, the punters propping up the bar are hoping a strong showing next season.

With that in mind, some of the more forward-thinking Whites who frequent in their droves have been discussing potential signings at the end of the campaign. To that end, some of our drinkers are citing Kilmarnock’s Jordan Jones as an option.

Amid Killie’s revival under Steve Clarke in the Scottish Premiership of late, the 23-year-old has proven a revelation. A tricky winger who demands the ball and someone who can quite easily cut inside, the Northern Ireland international would give Heckingbottom’s attack an exciting edge.

Pulling opposition defenders all over the place, Jones has also proven a palpable goal threat. With four goals this season, the former Middlesbrough youngster can create something from nothing, as was evident with his wonderful strike against Hibernian last weekend.

Valued at just £203k by Transfermarkt, Jones would be an astute addition. Rangers are thought to have been keen on a move for him in January, though surely the Whites could convince him to move back across the border, if they’re going to make a serious push for the Premier League at long, long last.
