Leeds know that there is still work to be done if they want to get themselves promoted this season.
With almost half the season completed, the Peacocks are in a fabulous position to gain promotion back into the Premier League but a lot can still go wrong, as they know.
Last season they were fifth at Christmas but eventually stumbled to a measly 13th position.
That was partly because of the players but now those same players and others, are reinvigorated under Marcelo Bielsa, a coach capable of achieving great things with this historic club.
There is still work to be done, especially if one of their most talented attackers, Samu Saiz, is planning to leave the club in January.
With that becoming a very real possibility, Leeds have to react fast and get a top replacement in, someone like Peterborough’s Marcus Maddison for example.
Maddison, (who is valued at £675k on Transfermarkt) has improved massively to be one of the more dangerous players in League One.
After a slow start to the season, Maddison has quickly recovered his form, accumulating seven assists and two goals in his last seven games.
Seeing as he’s already used to the gruelling English leagues, Maddison could make a good signing for Leeds, with the talent also to play on either wing or as a central-midfielder.
Maddison still has age on his side at 25, meaning he could be prime and ready to try and help Leeds get back into the Premier League.
It will be a challenging step up but Marcus Maddison’s recent form suggests he is more than ready for a big move to Leeds.
