Leeds United moved top of the league last night as the Whites beat Reading 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship.
The men from Elland Road have been strong so far this season with them finding a way to win late on even if they look on course for a draw.
In the last two games, they have demonstrated that with late wins over Luton Town and Reading with Jack Harrison getting the winner yesterday evening with just minutes to go.
They’re getting the goals that matter, then, and fans will want to see more of that from the likes of Patrick Bamford, with him proving the difference at the weekend against Luton.
Indeed, for Phil Hay the striker’s jersey right now is his to lose but, with Eddie Nketiah returning to training this week, that particular selection debate is set to rear its head once more.
Not many managers have the luxury of two strikers who arguably both deserve to be picked, and lots of fans have been reacting to Hay’s post about Marcelo Bielsa’s selection headache.
Let’s take a look at the best of what has been said so far on social media as fans debate which striker should be starting once more…
Eddie Nketiah returns to training tomorrow but Patrick Bamford’s takedown of Matty Pearson at Luton was masterful and his goading of Reading’s fans last night showed how much he’s in the mood. The shirt feels like it’s his:https://t.co/hHsv2Mu2bp

Bamford’s scored 1 open goal in 13 games, we’re at serious risk of losing a very good striker due to stubbornness and a good number of fans are desperate to make out we should be happy with Bamford and give him more support?

But Eddie was due to start till the injury. There will be another opportunity for him.

He will not return. Why are fans so paranoid.

I can't help but think the club are in a no lose situation here. Bamford continues his scoring then we lose Eddie, replace him with another. Or Eddie gets game time this Xmas period, scores a few, Arsenal are happy for us to keep him. Some fans way to negative. #lufc

And we'll be left with no Eddie

Just means Eddie Nketiah will most likely go back to Arsenal in January unfortunately Phil.
With Arsenal's current situation i think it's most likely he will go back.

need eddie to stay,he will get his chance with all the games coming quickly.Bamford wont cope on his own.

Don't see why we don't play Eddie in the same role that Tyler Roberts has been playing.
