Many Leeds United fans have been discussing the upcoming return of Netherlands under-21 international Jay-Roy Grot this summer.

After impressing during his early career with Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, Grot quickly gained interest from a number of other European sides, signing for Leeds in the summer of 2017 for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Appearing regularly during his first season in English football, the young winger struggled to adapt to the Championship, something he admitted during an interview in July 2018. The 22-year-old will now return to Elland Road this summer after spending time with VVV-Venlo and Vitesse in his homeland.

Twenty-two appearances for the latter this term have seen the youngster score twice and gain just one assist, leading many Leeds fans to question if can turn around his fortunes at the club and provide Marcelo Bielsa with a handy squad addition next term.
