Loads of Leeds fans were left unhappy by an admission made by Marcelo Bielsa in Monday’s press conference, as the Whites boss claimed there will be no more signings after Jean-Kevin Augustin, as confirmed by The Athletic’s Phil Hay.
The Elland Road faithful were delighted with the capture of Augustin, who joins the club on loan from Red Bull Leipzig after terminating his temporary stay at Monaco. The club confirmed he will join for the remainder of the season, and the deal includes an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
However, there is still a feeling amongst some fans that the squad is a little light, particularly in midfield, where Mateusz Klich’s form has dipped in recent times and Adam Forshaw is still injured.
As reported by Phil Hay, Bielsa revealed there will be no more new arrivals while speaking in his pre-Millwall press conference. This has left some supporters with a sour taste in their mouths, with one fan proclaiming ‘playoffs it is then’ while another lambasted the fact they haven’t actually spent a penny this month. We are desperate for a CM/AMC. Klich is absolutely shattered and it’s showing. Pablo has been injured, KP is suspended and Roberts is made of Lego.
