Leeds United: Some fans respond to Hull City’s EFL letter

Many Leeds United fans have reacted to news that Championship rivals Hull City have written to the English Football League (EFL) in a bid to call an end to the 2019/20 season.
According to various reports, Ehab Allam has written to EFL chairman Rick Parry and the other 23 teams in England’s second tier to outline his club’s stance on the return to football during the pandemic. Telegraph Sport report that Allam’s letter hits out at the EFL for putting ‘undue and inappropriate pressure’ on clubs to return to training ahead of completing the current campaign.
Hull sit 21st in the league table, just two points above the relegation zone as things stand, having not won a league game since New Year’s Day. By contrast, Leeds sit top of the Championship with Marcelo Bielsa’s side on course for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Reacting via Facebook group All Leeds Aren’t We!!!, these Whites fans responded with various opinions on the matter, hitting out at the Tigers in the process…
Harry Lloyd: Should be deducted points then
Stephen Wallis: What do you expect from jealous no hopers
Robbie McNeill: Tigers getting mauled by the league table
Tony J Hay: These teams at the bottom asking for it to be voided! They’re so transparent it’s embarrassing
Melvin Hemingbrough: Well they would wouldn’t they
Alan Crundell: Be careful we will be fined for spying
Chris Roberts: Any team that doesn’t complete its fixtures if the league restarts should be relegated uatomatically then
