Leeds fans have been enjoying their best season in years this campaign, despite the fact that a number of different issues are threatening to derail them. Spygate is an issue that we’re just getting over, but something that refuses to cease is the on-going injury crisis, and Gaetano Berardi was hit with another setback last night whilst playing with the U23s.

The Swiss defender started against Southampton for the Leeds U23 side, and he didn’t even make half-time as he limped off to be replaced by Jamie Shackleton. The hot-headed defender was seen punching the dugout in anger after coming off crooked, and the Whites are all lambasting their own luck as they now have to face even more issues on the ever-growing injury front.
Marcelo Bielsa has, so far, dealt with his injury concerns superbly, and has always had the next academy star ready to step into the senior side on a moment’s notice to fill in. The likes of Aapo Halme, Jack Clarke and Jamie Shackleton have all come in to deputise for injured stars, and it looks like Bielsa will have to continue using the youngsters as Berardi faces even more time on the sidelines.
You can read the Whites’ thoughts on Berardi’s latest concern here:
Simply need Phillips back in midfield. Push Ayling in beside Cooper and bring Shack in.

Proving why we can't wait around for players to come back from injury!

I’ve never known anything like this in my life. If we go up this year it will be a miracle with all the injuries we’ve faced – which makes it all the more sweeter when we clinch the title.

You couldn't write it. Unbelievable.
Still can't get my head around Jansson second yellow on Saturday. Football league is corrupt

No luck at all.

The Whites simply cannot believe how many of their players have suffered injuries this season, and it will only make promotion even sweeter if they do go on to achieve it.
