Leeds fans have been loving the way that Marcelo Bielsa has got them playing and has gone about making them a side competing at the top level. One of the key changes he’s made is to their goalkeeper, bringing in Kiko Casilla, and the ‘keeper has claimed that promotion with Leeds would mean more than his Champions League medals.
Thought this was quite a rare comment – Kiko Casilla saying promotion with Leeds this season would matter more to him than his Champions League medals at Real Madrid:https://t.co/Z55HA0DJCG

The Spaniard has won over just about every single Leeds fans in Yorkshire with both his performances on the pitch and his conduct and professionalism off of it. The three-time Champions League winner may have left the comfort and glamour of Real Madrid in January, but he’s taken up a real challenge and should be commended for that, and it will be because of that that a promotion would mean so much to him.
The supporters will be desperate to be a Premier League side next season too. If they fail to go up from the current position they find themselves in then the fans will be up in arms. It looks like a three-way fight for it at the moment with Sheffield United amd Norwich pushing them close in the race for automatic promotion spots, and none of those three sides will be content with a playoff place.

A sentence I never thought I'd see associated with #lufc

Because he's actually playing and earning it, rather than watching his team mates win it from the bench and pick up a token medal.

I like him. I can see that he's genuinely connecting with the fans. He was having some quality banter with the Kop end yesterday

The Whites love Kiko Casilla already and will only grow fonder of him if he helps take them up.
