Leeds fans have been given the worrying news of an injury to Kemar Roofe. The former Oxford United striker has been in great form for the Whites this season, however, his goals have certainly dried up since Christmas, so whilst his absence is a large one, the fans believe that they have enough in their squad to get by.
Kemar Roofe’s goalscoring has dipped since Christmas but Bielsa plays him without fail when he’s fit and Leeds’ head coach is losing a striker with the quality to make a difference. A look at the impact Roofe’s injury will have:https://t.co/P4VBYhcq0M

Of course, in 2019 a striker’s game isn’t all about scoring goals, but if they’re not getting them regularly enough the questions tend to be asked. Roofe has scored often enough to keep those questions away, yet despite his recent barren run no one has questioned his role in the side because of his movement and link-up play as he brings others into the attack with his clever forward-play.
Now, though, the Whites will be relying on the duo of Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford to provide what Roofe usually does. Roofe may not play again this season, and the prospect of going the rest of the campaign is a daunting one, however, Marcelo Bielsa has been dealing with setbacks and injuries all season and will be well prepared to get through this rough spell with those he has in reserve.
You can read the Whites’ thoughts on Roofe’s injury here:
If Bamford can grab a couple against Bolton he’ll be backing himself to get 10 before the end of the season, which I think will do it.

I’m not convinced by KR. Not totally. Is he ever going to be a billy sharp? No. Do we have a billy sharp? No. So I think we need to accept goals will be difficult and this may be a end of season impact for us. Not much we can do about that really!!

Will miss his work rate and how he pulls out opposition defenders. However a chance for someone else to step up.

The Whites have full faith in their side as they look to get by without Roofe and there’s no doubt that Marcelo Bielsa will make something work.
