Leeds fans on Twitter worried for Ashton Gate trip as Bristol City sign emergency ‘keeper

We really are on the home straight now in the Championship. Marcelo Bielsa’s incredible Leeds have got two massive games left this season in the title run-in against Bristol City this weekend and then Sheffield United next Saturday. After that, their games are fairly routine, but ahead of tomorrow’s game, the Robins have signed an emergency ‘keeper.

Anything out of the ordinary was always going to rattle the nerves of the Leeds fans ahead of this clash. The Whites, though, have been informed by Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post that Bristol City will be giving a new signing a debut when they play tomorrow. Both Niki Maenpaa and Frank Fielding have succumbed to injuries and Lee Johnson has responded by signing free agent Stefan Marinovic.
The New Zealander was most recently employed by MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps but has been without a club since November, and as far as the Whites are concerned the feeling is that the new man at Ashton Gate is going to step up with a top display. The last thing they all want is to drop points tomorrow, especially seeing as they’ll be tuning into Norwich vs Swansea later and have little hope of the Canaries dropping points.

The Whites are as confident as ever for their trip to Ashton Gate yet there have been a few fears that the Robins new shot-stopper may step in and shine.
