Leeds United saw themselves replaced by West Bromwich Albion at the top of the Sky Bet Championship yesterday evening as the Baggies won 1-0 at Preston North End.
The two teams have been a class apart this year in the Championship so far and it is going to take a good side – or a pair of them – to stop the current top two being the duo that goes up at the end of the season.
There’s still plenty of football to be played, though, and not just in the Championship with FA Cup action on the horizon once Christmas is done and dusted.
Indeed, the 3rd round draw was made last night at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium and Leeds have been handed a trip to Arsenal at the beginning of January.
Naturally, talk quickly switched to Eddie Nketiah who is on loan at Elland Road from the Gunners and Graham Smyth has confirmed that he will not be eligible.
Let’s take a look at what has been said on Twitter in response to this:
He can't play, for those asking.
