Leeds fans react to triple injury blow

Leeds United supporters have been in high spirits in recent times after seeing their team spend the first international break of the season sat at the top of the Championship table.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men were tipped by many during the off-season to be challenging for a return to the Premier League this term, and their efforts in the first phase of the campaign suggests that they may be there or thereabouts come May. The Yorkshire heavyweights have won four and drawn the other two of their six league matches, beating Stoke City, Derby County, Rotherham United, and Norwich City as well as drawing with Swansea City and Middlesbrough to propel themselves to top spot in the table.

As such, there have been many thrilled Leeds fans up and down the country in recent times, although their mood is likely to have taken a turn for the worst following an injury update from manager Bielsa, who has confirmed that Gaetano Berardi, Pablo Hernandez, and Kemar Roofe will miss their trip to Millwall at the weekend.

All three have played key parts in helping the Whites make an outstanding start to the new season, with Berardi and Roofe starting all six of their matches, while Hernandez only missed their most recent outing against Boro.

And with 25-year-old Roofe netting on four occasions and Hernandez three, losing the duo and indeed defender Berardi is sure to come as a blow to Bielsa and his squad, and they are setbacks that have stimulated quite a response from Leeds fans on Twitter.

And while some are concerned now heading into the trip to the Den on Saturday, others don’t appear to be overly fazed by the triple injury blow…

Leeds fans… what do you think? Let us know!
