Leeds United: Fans react to reported transfer interest in Juan Foyth

Leeds United are reportedly looking into a summer move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth, prompting a reaction from some Whites fans.
Marcelo Bielsa has masterminded his side’s route to the top of the Championship league table, sitting in the first automatic promotion place. On the verge of a Premier League return, the Argentine coach will undoubtedly be preparing his squad to take on the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, to name a few.
Foyth has been attracting interest from Leeds, with Football Insider claiming that the Yorkshire club have made several loan enquiries. With reports further emerging about the defender’s potential summer availability, former striker Noel Whelan has commented on the potential of him moving to Elland Road.
La Liga giants Barcelona are also said to be interested in the Argentine international as boss Quique Setien looks to improve his defensive options.
Reacting to a question via Facebook group All Leeds Aren’t we!!! by Transfer Tavern’s Ben Crump, who asked: “Juan Foyth? Should we sign him from Spurs?” – these Leeds fans gave an opinion on a potential move for the 22-year-old:
Jon Smith: Yep
Suhaimi Suradi: Depending how much
Lukiegee Newlands: What position does he play? Haven’t heard of him
Mark Suffield: Yes, be a good signing, as well as White
Sean Jane: He is very raw. Similar to Berardi with the rushes of blood. I could see Bielsa making him one of the best defenders in the world. 10 Argentina caps and a good prospect
Lee Godsell-Wright: Is he that Argentinian right back? Seen him play a couple of times, did not look too bad, would probably fit with Coops and White too!
Dan Tuema: Yes. He’s a wonderful footballing defender
Cliff Hawksworth: Bera to stay…
Mark Watson: Well it’s a Juan Forth a money, two for the show
Benjamin Roffe: Absolutely
