Leeds fans take to Twitter in disbelief at Pablo Hernandez’s TOTY snub - Championship

Leeds fans on Twitter were in absolute disbelief last night. The Whites will be delighted for both Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper that they’ve been included in the Championship’s team of the year. However, the fact that Pablo Hernandez has been left out is an absolute outrage as far as the Leeds fans are concerned.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Spanish wizard is one of the best, if not the best, players in the Championship. At the age of 33-years-old, the creative midfielder still has the ability to play on the left, the right or through the middle, and he’s shone all season wherever he’s been played. In 30 Championship games, the Spaniard has ten goals and 11 assists and it truly is pathetic that he isn’t in the team of the year.

The team has been set up in a 4-3-3 system and certainly includes some top players. The midfield trio consists of Jarrod Bowen, Oliver Norwood and Kalvin Phillips and you could make the argument that Hernandez deserves to be in there over any of those three, despite their incredible form this season. It’s left loads of Leeds fans fuming, and they’re not going to let this one up easily.

You can read the Whites’ thoughts on Hernandez’s TOTY snub here:

Leeds fans everywhere are gutted that Hernandez was left out, yet there’s nothing they can do and they’ll be desperate for the Spaniard to make a point and kick on with goals and assists in their last eight games.
