Leeds fans have been given the ride of their lives this season in the Championship. Marcelo Bielsa truly has smashed it in his debut season in English football, turning a group of players who previously finished in midtable into a promotion pushing side, and Kalvin Phillips is one who has truly transformed under the Argentine.
Thought Phillips was immense today, bringing the ball out constantly. #lufc

The Whites were once again besotted with Kalvin Phillips as he controlled the midfield and dominated against Steve Bruce’s Sheffield Wednesday. The midfielder is still young, and it will be a miracle if he stays at Elland Road long if they make it up to the Premier League, as the media will be all over the 23-year-old if he can perform like he did yesterday in the top flight.
Bielsa and his coaching team will have wry smiles all over their faces when seeing Phillips drop performances as he did in front of Sky’s cameras. At no point was there any genuine fear that the Owls may be able to win control of the midfield battle, as they rode to victory in one of the most one-sided 1-0 wins that you’ll see this season. Phillips will now be keen to add to that display with another one against Wigan next Friday when they welcome the Latics to Elland Road.
You can read the Whites’ thoughts on Phillips’ display here:
His professionalism and quietness around the pitch is fantastic. What a role model for the younger generation. Doesn't complain at any tackle given or against… Unbelievable professional! My player of the season.

The Whites absolutely loved Phillips’ performance against Sheffield Wednesday and will be desperate for him to put in displays like that in the Premier League next season.
