Leeds fans have enjoyed a superb season so far this year, and are desperate to cap it off with promotion, be it via the automatic places or the playoffs. The media has been hot on Leeds so far, and Preston midfielder Alan Browne obviously hasn’t taken too kindly to it as he’s claimed that Leeds ‘aren’t world beaters’ ahead of their trip to Deepdale.

Whilst at a glance and when just viewing the headline it may be easy to take Browne’s comments out of context, the 23-year-old comments on how strong Leeds United were when they played them last. The Irish midfielder does say that he believes the Whites are being hyped up by the media, but he’s not wrong in saying that, regardless of how good the Yorkshire club have been.
Regardless of that, it will still give the travelling supporters motivation to get the win, not that they already needed it given where they currently stand in the promotion race. Having lost on Saturday the last thing that Marcelo Bielsa’s side can afford to do is lose again later, and as Browne will be desperate to stop them, the Leeds fans are eyeing up Sheffield United’s 2nd place spot, a spot they can temporarily take with a win.

Ah yes, all the goals we've scored and wins we've attained was solely down to the media hype…

The Whites cannot wait to beat Preston later and will be sure to use Browne’s comments as motivation ahead of the must-win clash.
