Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait for their side to play again in the Championship this weekend with them getting off to a winning start against Bolton last weekend.
The Whites’ supporters here in the bar think they have got a really good chance of getting promoted this season and they certainly looked the part on the opening day.
Even so, the club still needs to perform well in the next 45 games to have any chance of promotion and, whilst we wait to see how they do, the club is being linked with another transfer move.
Certainly, Thomas Christiansen has been a busy man in the summer market and, according to Football Insider, he’s not done yet with Marvin Johnson apparently a target.
The Oxford United winger is really highly-thought of in the Football League and would surely jump at the chance of trying his hand higher up the divisions.
Certainly, then, he could be on his way to Elland Road but it’s thought Hull are also keen so we’ll have to see just whether or not this move comes to pass.
The Whites have been looking good in recent times both on and off the field and their fans would certainly be happy with the signing of Johnson.
He’s a real threat out wide and Christiansen seems to like to get the ball wide and into the box for Chris Wood so this is a potential signing that would make a lot of sense.
