Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern really can’t wait for their side to start this season with pre-season getting underway today for the club.
Indeed, the Whites are back in training after a summer spell off and it signifies that they are eager to get promoted with them one of the first sides getting back to work.
Certainly, that should help with the bedding in of Thomas Christiansen at the club and he has already been quick to make his mark on the team with Mateusz Klich coming in from FC Twente.
The midfielder has a reputation for being very good on the ball and after speaking to The Yorkshire Evening Post he might already be a fan-favourite.
Indeed, he proved his appreciation of the club’s size in saying:
“I wanted to come here – I remember Leeds playing in the Premier League.
“I didn’t know anything more than that because every club is so far away from home but of course I knew of the club and I knew how big the club is. I can’t wait to play.”
Leeds fans, then, should enjoy hearing that and now they’ll be hoping that he produces the goods for them this season.
