Leeds know that Premier League football awaits them if they continue this wonderful form they have enjoyed into the New Year.
Marcelo Bielsa has done everything right as manager of Leeds, so much so, they’re top of the Championship.
At this crucial part of the season, Leeds know that it would be beneficial for them to recruit some new players to strengthen their squad.
As brilliant as Leeds have been, their squad isn’t the biggest and has been tarnished at times with key injuries. Should anymore occur this season, it will be a real struggle to continue battling for promotion so signing a defender like Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings would be a fine idea.
Mings, (who is valued at £3.1 million on Transfermarkt) has found it near on impossible to get back into the starting line-up with Bournemouth this season, after a long injury lay-off.
Nevertheless, Leeds could benefit from that as it would be a lot easier for them to acquire a top defender.
The 25-year-old has only managed to make four appearances in the Premier League this season and that will be hard to take for a player who wants to prove his ability.
Tyrone Mings undoubtedly has brilliant quality as a defender and would be a fine addition at Elland Road.
Whether they could keep him fit is an entirely different matter but with an extra body in defence, Leeds can be more confident going forward that they have options to rotate and change their team.
They may feel close to gaining promotion but with half the season still to play, Leeds must keep up the good form to ensure they go all the way.
