Leeds receive transfer boost as international becomes available to sign

Our Leeds United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling very excited at the moment and, after last night’s game against Nottingham Forest, things could get even better.

The Whites won 2-0 last night to go third in the Championship with our local Leeds punters dreaming of a return to the Premier League at last.

Garry Monk has done a fine job there, too, and it could now be the case that he manages to sign Pontus Jansson on a full-time deal.

The Swedish international’s agent revealed earlier this month to Fotbollskanalen (via The Yorkshire Evening Post,) that after 22 games for the club his loan deal could be turned permanent.

Indeed, that mark was hit last night against Forest and so now, if Garry Monk wants to keep him on, everything is ready to be pushed through.

The defender has been an important part of the Leeds challenge this season and has chipped in with the odd goal and our landlord believes Monk will seal a deal for the player before too long.

The good times appear to be back at Leeds, then, and they’ll be hoping to keep up the pace for the remainder of the year.
