Leeds United have already shown what they’re made of this season as they continue to push towards promotion to the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa has certainly stamped his authority on proceedings since taking over at the club as he continues to live up to his name. And, with the loan window still open until the end of the month, perhaps the South American will look to make his squad even strong by raiding a couple of Premier League clubs.
Indeed, the Yorkshire club looked average to say the last in the last campaign as they just couldn’t ensure consistency under former boss Paul Heckingbottom. But, times have changed since then and Leeds United are well on their way to earning promotion back to where they belong.
One name that the Championship club could take a look at is a Premier League youngster that will no doubt establish himself as a star in the future, and that is Manchester City’s Joel Latibeaudiere.
Latibeaudiere captained England to World Cup under-17 glory last season and is one of City’s prized assets in their academy. A first-team breakthrough looks beyond him at the moment, so a loan deal would be a smart move all around. And, with Leeds already securing the services of Jack Harrison from the Citizens, you wouldn’t rule out another deal being struck between Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola.
Also, the Whites should take a look at adding another central defender to their ranks as this is a position that caused them problems in the last campaign. Therefore, Tottenham Hotspur’s Juan Foyth could be on his way to Yorkshire.
The 20-year-old joined Spurs last summer but was limited to eight cup appearances and hasn’t yet featured in the Premier League. Indeed, Leeds only currently have Liam Cooper, Gaetano Berardi and Pontus Jansson at their disposal, so bringing in a quality central defender could prove vital. And, it’s safe to say that during his time in England, the Argentine has shown that he has the makings of a world-class player.
