Leeds should move for this record breaker in order to achieve a play-off spot

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly eager to see their side sign some top players this summer with the club aiming for a play-off spot at least.

The men from Elland Road did, of course, miss out on the play-off places narrowly last season but would have been confident of maintaining a challenge in the coming campaign under Garry Monk.

He, though, decided to leave earlier this summer and so now it is up to Thomas Christiansen to try and get the job done in his first job in charge in this country.

For sure, then, there’ll be great scrutiny on who he manages to sign during this window and we think he’d be doing a decent job in signing Ben Woodburn on a loan deal from Liverpool.

Leeds fans, of course, will be familiar with the young forward after he broke the Reds’ record of their youngest scorer by hitting home against the Whites in the EFL Cup but they’d surely like to see him join them for a season.

Indeed, the young forward evidently has the talent to succeed at the highest level but may not get the chance to show that next season for Liverpool and so a move to a club like Leeds could be perfect.

They themselves have a big history and reputation whilst he’d also likely score plenty of goals – enhancing his talent and endearing him to the fans – so the move has the potential to benefit all involved.
