Leeds should move to bring in Anwar El Ghazi before window closes

So far this season, Leeds have shown they are probably the top contenders for promotion this season.

Bielsa’s brand of progressive and expansive football has seen the club demolish both Stoke and Derby – two other promotion contenders – this year and it looks as though the fans will be in for an exciting season.

With Bielsa’s requirement for up-tempo football, also comes the need to have backups at every position ready to come in.

Leeds will need to have capable replacements who can come into the team and do a job straight away and it seems Bielsa has identified another player he wants to bring to England.

Former Ajax academy youngster, Anwar El Ghazi made the move to France in 2017 but could be set to leave the club.

The Argentinian manager is apparently keen to bring in the former Ajax man to Leeds according to L’Equipe via the Birmingham Mail but will have to beat Aston Villa, Rennes and Saint-Etienne to his signature.

The Breakdown

Since making his move to France, the Dutch winger has struggled to showcase the form he showed during his time in Holland.

Last season he managed four goals and four assists in 27 games but could well thrive under Bielsa in the Championship.

Valued at £4.5 million by Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old still has the potential to be a top player and would add some much-needed depth going forward for Leeds.

Bielsa will need some valuable backups to use over the course of the summer, and El Ghazi could be a shrewd move.

Would you be happy with this move Leeds fans?
