Leeds have slipped down the table slightly as they begin to realise once again what a hard league the Championship can be.
With plenty of football still to be played, it isn’t time to panic for Marcelo Bielsa but with a talented group of players at his disposal, he will hope to quickly amend there woes of recent games.
To do that in the most efficient way, Leeds should again turn their heads towards the transfer window, specifically eyeing a creative midfielder.
The need for a player who can pick out a pass and has an eye for goal is a great one and Leeds would be a far better team with a player supplying balls to the forwards.
An audacious move that could be fantastic for the Lilywhites would be to persuade Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse to Elland Road.
Ward-Prowse, who is valued at £16.2 million on Transfermarkt, is a player with a great amount of quality but it seems that Southampton don’t utilise that, whereas Leeds would be grateful to have a player of his calibre.
The 23-year-old has made just two Premier League appearances this season and with a right-foot as good as he has, Leeds must try at least to bring him down to the Championship.
England-capped James Ward-Prowse is known for his brilliant delivery and free-kick ability, as well as being a clever passer.
Southampton have raised him as a player but without game-time, he cannot improve so that’s where Leeds and Ward-Prowse align.
The Whites need a creative player in amongst their team and Ward-Prowse needs some time on the pitch to show what an important player he can be.
