Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been a vocal bunch this season and their voices can be heard above all others in the Championship booth this afternoon amid links between their club and Oldham right-back Rob Hunt, who is on loan from Brighton.
The Whites have looked rejuvenated under Garry Monk this term and have their best chance in a long time to return to the Premier League, with their 61-point haul leaving them third, and ten points off the Seagulls, who lead the division.
Although the south coast team look in a far better position to go up, HITC Sport are claiming that Leeds are looking at one of their AMEX Stadium rivals’ players, young defender Hunt.
It’s understood that the starlet, who is currently on loan at League One side Oldham and is also attracting Bournemouth’s interest, is highly rated by his parent club, but Monk’s men have not been deterred and have had scouts watching the 21-year-old.
Although a potential deal looks somewhat complicated given Hunt’s good form and promise, his route to being the Sussex club’s right-back is somewhat blocked by captain Bruno, who has played more minutes in the Championship this term than any other outfield players in Chris Hughton’s squad.
