Leeds United: David Prutton thinks Whites could drop points again this weekend at QPR - Leeds United

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton does not think Leeds United will return to winning ways after backing a draw ahead of their trip to west London to face QPR on Saturday lunchtime.

Leeds have only won one of their last six in the Championship and have threatened to blow their advantage ahead of the play-off places in the league table. They come into the game off the back of a Yorkshire derby defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday, and in making his Championship predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton believes the Whites could be set to prolong their miserable run.

Predicting a 1-1 draw, he said: “It’s safe to say QPR were blown away by Brentford last Saturday. It will happen to a few teams for the rest of the season, but it will hurt that much more because it was their fierce rivals inflicting it.

“Leeds have stuttered of late and their fans will be starting to worry that they could repeat the slump that saw them falter last season. Draw here for me.”

Leeds’ poor form certainly suggests they are capable of dropping points in Saturday’s match, though QPR also head into tomorrow’s clash with a similarly gloomy set of recent results – with a win rate that matches Leeds’ over their last six league games.

Prutton going for a 1-1 draw may be a slight surprise, with the game a meeting between two of the Championship’s four highest-scoring sides, while QPR have the second-leakiest defence in the division – and Leeds have scored six across their last two league trips away.

That could suggest more goals are on the cards, especially with Leeds being more generous of late in conceding goals themselves as the pressure has started to tell with their promotion bid looking more precarious by the week.

Having backed Leeds to also drop points last weekend, it seems as though any gulf in class is irrelevant in the eyes of Prutton, which suggests he feels Leeds are simply uncomfortable with being in charge of their own destiny.

Leeds fans, can you bounce back at QPR tomorrow? Let us know below!
