Leeds United have been on the end of some controversial refereeing decisions so far this season and the choice of official for their game against Bristol City will do little to ease fears over being on the receiving end of further misfortune.
Against Millwall, Marcelo Bielsa’s side were reduced to 10 men after Gaetano Berardi was sent off for a foul in the penalty box, but the Swiss defender won an appeal and the decision was overturned (via BBC). In the fixture against Fulham, the Whites conceded a controversial penalty after Ben White was adjudged to have fouled Bobby Reid, before it was revealed by the FA last month that the spot kick was wrongfully awarded (via Leeds Live).
One fan claimed there would be another ban for Victor Orta, who was handed one after his antics in the Millwall game, whilst another fan called the choice ‘ridiculous’.
A further stadium ban for Orta incoming 😂

Ridiculous. After a decision like that he shouldn’t be allowed to ref us again in the same season imo

It has now emerged that the referee from the game against Scott Parker’s side, Tim Robinson, will take charge of the game against Bristol City this weekend. Fans weren’t pleased when they were handed the news as they took to Twitter to react with fury.
Let’s take a look at some responses:
The penalty that since has been examined by EFL and deemed a mistake on the refs part. Let’s say, he owes us one on Saturday. Hopefully he remembers.
