Leeds fans were waxing lyrical over Pablo Hernandez after the Spaniard was named in Sky Sports’ Championship Team of the Decade.
Pundits Don Goodman and David Prutton both agreed Hernandez warranted a place on the wing following his performances in the second tier, with the 34-year-old the only member of the XI not to gain promotion to the Premier League, despite his prior experience in the top flight with Swansea City.
Fans were fully behind the decision, with some supporters admitting how lucky the club are to have Hernandez on their books, while most commended the winger for an accolade they felt was fully deserved.
Hernandez features in a midfield full of current Premier League players including Ruben Neves, Jack Grealish and Wilfried Zaha.
Supporters were quick to congratulate Hernandez on Twitter, who Goodman felt ‘doesn’t belong in the Championship’.
Below is a selection of the messages of support from the Leeds faithful:
Pabs the true 🐐

Rightly so. A wonderful player

In no way biased but it always baffles me how some fans from other teams don’t see how good he is. He’s just next level at times and not many players come into that category. We are very privileged to have him honestly

We’re lucky to have him, but only promotion will keep him
