Leeds United: Fans discuss Rangers links with ex-striker Caleb Ekuban
According to a report from Fotospor, Rangers could be willing to sign ex-Leeds United striker Caleb Ekuban as a ‘possible Morelos replacement‘ – with many Whites supporters since entering full discussion over their former player.
Ekuban, who left Leeds United in the summer of 2018 for Turkish club Trabzonspor, has since gone on to accumulate eight league goals and five assists over one and a half seasons (WhoScored) – with Rangers now reportedly contemplating the possibility of signing him as a potential replacement for star striker Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian has been a crucial figurehead during Rangers’ now wavering title charge, bagging 12 goals in 25 outings for Steven Gerrard’s men (Transfermarkt).
Now, with Morelos potentially on his way out in the summer, the Ibrox club ponder the notion of searching for a replacement. Baring that in mind, many Leeds fans are currently debating the merit in Rangers swooping for their former hitman – with one fan sarcastically describing him as a ‘Perfect Bielsa striker’.

Would run all day, but couldn’t finish for toffee. Sounds like a perfect Bielsa striker to me!

I always felt he had potential, just wasn’t given time to settle.

Loved his physic og technique, and still feel he can be a real player – especially under Bielsa. But that will never happen. Hope he scores for fun if he goes to Scotland.

I always wonder if he’d have been decent under Bielsa

Good move for him. I liked Ekuban. Looked like he had potential. Just never really looked like a goal scorer.
He’ll probably bag for in Scotland though
