Loads of Leeds United fans have been discussing Tim Rich’s biography about Marcelo Bielsa, after a fan tweeted an excerpt from the book.
Writing in “The Quality of Madness: A Life of Marcelo Bielsa,” the sports journalist shed light on an eye-opening conversation between Bielsa and Jorge Valdano. The Argentinian famously asked his countryman “after you have lost a game do you ever think about killing yourself?”
Ever since he arrived in England, it is fair to say the Whites boss has made quite a name for himself, as his side are arguably one of the best teams to watch in the Championship, and they currently sit at the top of the table, with Premier League football within their reach.
Backed by the deep pockets of Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani, Bielsa is surely relishing the possibility of testing himself against European giants like Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea, although whether or not the club will be promoted remains to be seen, given the ongoing pandemic.
While there is no doubt his comments will raise a few eyebrows, several supporters were delighted by the head coach’s work ethic, with one fan calling his comment “weapons grade,” and another adding they are “bloody loving” Rich’s work.
Take a look at some of the different reactions down below…
It’s a good read. I can’t wait for the season to re-start as you’d hope that our fitness levels are going to be superior to the rest and hopefully we can go up as champions

I’m half expecting an announcement on the national news…”It has been revealed today that a new vaccine has been found for Covid 19, the man responsible is a 64 year old Argentinian…”
