According to quotes from Corriere dello Sport via the Yorkshire Evening Post, former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has called for the season to be scrapped following coronavirus fears – with the controversial ex-Whites head branding the pandemic a ‘plague‘ sweeping across Europe.
Cellino, who sold his 50% stake in the Elland Road club to current owner Andrea Radrizzani back in the summer of 2017 (BBC), wasn’t the most popular figure at the Yorkshire club – receiving three football association bans over his three-year tenure on the board.
As well as this, Cellino was banned from all football activities for 18 months and fined £250,000 for breaking FA rules over the sale of Ross McCormack to Fulham. Now, the Brescia owner has warned the footballing world that ‘everything has to be moved to the next season‘ – with many Leeds fans since becoming divided over the Italian’s point of view. One supporter called him an ‘utter moron‘ while others suggest he is ‘absolutely right’.

So if we scrap it does that mean all the teams are then reset to what squad they had at the start of 19/20?
Oh and they are bottom but that doesn’t have any bearing whatsoever on his mindset 😂😂😂😂
Let’s play to a finish I wanna see an ex @SkyBetChamp side relegated on merit 😂

I think next season will be finishing this one and that will be it, there won’t be time for another season

Biggest chancer in the business. He definitely wouldn’t be saying it if he wasn’t rock bottom of the league. The worst owner we ever had(think about it!😫 )
