Leeds United: Fans divided over Patrick Bamford assessment following footage

Leeds United: Fans divided over Patrick Bamford assessment following footage - Leeds United

Reacting to footage of Patrick Bamford from Leeds United’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town last weekend, many Whites supporters have been split over the Englishman – with one fan hailing him as a ‘top man‘ while another called him ‘trash‘.

Bamford, who has scored 13 Championship goals and registered two assists in 35 appearances for the club this season (WhoScored), is currently at the centre of debate after a montage of his exploits against Huddersfield Town was published on social media. The clip, courtesy of LUFC TV via LUFC HD, showcases the 26-year-old’s ‘clever movement’ and ‘work rate’ – resulting in many Leeds fans entering full debate.

Former Leeds player Andy Hughes also told LUFC TV that his movement is ‘exceptional‘. While the footage highlights some arguably brilliant movement, Bamford is currently a divisive figure among many supporters, with some of them calling for him to be dropped after his miss at Middlesborough back in late February. However, given his recent exploits, supporters are currently split over whether he is indeed a ‘top man’ or simply ‘trash’.
