Many Leeds United fans were feeling elated after the latest reports concerning Kalvin Phillips seemed to suggest the midfielder could receive a call-up to the England squad.

According to The Telegraph, the Championship ace could be the first player since Wilfried Zaha to get an opportunity with the national team when playing in the second tier. He has been in superb form for the Whites this season, averaging the most tackles, the most long balls and the third-most key passes in the Leeds squad, as per WhoScored.

One fan said he was better than Declan Rice and Eric Dier with the player even averaging more tackles per league game compared to the Premier League duo, as per WhoScored.
