Leeds United fans were in dreamland after a statistic about the side’s defence this season emerged on social media.
According to LUFC Data, the Whites have conceded just 0.48 goals per game this term, no side in Europe’s top 5 leagues or any team in the top four tiers of English league football has a better defensive record in 2019/20.

The defensive improvement is a far-cry from how Marcelo Bielsa’s side ended last season, where they ended the year having conceded, on average, 1.16 goals per game (via Tablesleague).
There was also the capitulation at home to Derby County in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg, where the side conceded four goals to lose the tie (via BBC). Meanwhile, the Yorkshire side have conceded just six goals at home this campaign (via Tablesleague).
