Some Leeds United fans were left feeling frustrated after one of their youngsters was sent off in their FA Youth Cup tie away to Manchester United.
In the second half of the game against their rivals, Henri Kumwenda was given his marching orders after receiving a second yellow card (via Joe Urquhart). It seems as though the under-18s have been taking lessons from the first team, who have been plagued by red cards all season. The Whites have been forced to play with 10 men in four Championship games this season and even had a man sent off in a pre-season friendly last summer (via WhoScored).
One fan bemoaned the similarity with the first XI, saying that Kumwenda’s dismissal had ‘a familiar ring’ to the senior side’s indiscipline.
Blimey, it all has such a familiar ring to it.

Earlier this season, Marcelo Bielsa came out and asked his players to accept the decision of the referee, even if they didn’t agree with it (via Yorkshire Evening Post). Fans were left feeling exasperated after their youth side were reduced to 10 men as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

The U18’s are well on their way to being first-teamers. Away, a goal down and on the receiving end of a red card.
Welcome to Leeds United, innit.
