Some Leeds United fans vented their frustration after the name of former loanee Eddie Nketiah once again popped up in one of Marcelo Bielsa’s pre-match press conferences.
In his press duties ahead of the club’s game against Nottingham Forest, the Argentine seemed to take aim at the Arsenal youngster as he claimed the 20-year-old ‘underestimated’ the Whites (via Evening Standard). However, he did have some praise for the centre forward, backing him to go on and become a key man for club and country. The former Marseille coach also talked about the youngster in his interview ahead of the side’s Championship against Sheffield Wednesday last month (via Leeds Live)
Nketiah only made a few starts during his time with the Yorkshire outfit, coming off the bench for the majority of his 19 appearances as he played second fiddle to Patrick Bamford (via Transfermarkt). Fans were letting out all their exasperation after the 20-year-old was once again mentioned by Bielsa as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
Phil just tell him to play Poveda and Augustin ASAP and to stop talking about players no longer here. Thanks x

Bielsa needs to let Nketiah go. It’s his fault he went back. End of

You can understand his annoyance, if he made no promises over game time and Arsenal took him back because of a lack of game time, particularly if Nketiah now isn’t getting any more game time. But it is remarkable that he keeps coming back to it. It obviously still stings.

See this is the issue, he can moan all he wants about Nketiah, but at the end of the day Eddie is gone, and without trying JKA, he can’t say he has no one to bring off the bench in games https://t.co/I99juRXFnY

We need to forget all about Eddie. He’s in the past now, but when given his chance…he showed himself to be too lazy and/or not fit into Bielsa’s style of play. We don’t miss him https://t.co/bO6a6tnxqH
