Leeds United: Fans frustrated after Graham Smyth’s claims over Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference emerge

Marcelo Bielsa has been at Leeds United since the summer of 2018 and many things have improved, such as the club’s position in the Championship. However, one thing that is proving tricky is finding someone to translate the Argentine’s words into English.
According to Graham Smyth of Yorkshire Evening Post, the former Marseille man gets ‘lost in translation’. The reporter went into great detail over how the head coach was posed the wrong question by his assistant Diego Flores, asked by Stuart Reyner, in relation to Kiko Casilla in yesterday’s pre-match thoughts.
One fan labelled the situation as ‘awkward’.
@apopey what is going on with the translator? Because of him it appears Bielsa is getting wound up for no reason as an innocent question is getting him riled up because of the translation. Everything is so awkward and not fun anymore.

Salim Lamrani was Bielsa’s translator until he left last summer, which according to Phil Hay, happened because the relationship between the two men soured. Now, Flores holds the role and as seen above, he’s may not be the right man to hold such a position after his clear mistranslation. Fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions on yesterday’s events.
Let’s take a look at some tweets:
Many modern foreign language teachers and professional translators have seen their hrs cut/lost jobs in recent yrs. Surely, the club could employ one for the remainder of the season.

Is there a feeling that he’s now misinterpreting to such a level that he thinks everyone is having a pop? If so, the message needs to get through that you’re not!
Can the club not invest in an accredited translator to do this work, and leave Flores to do the job he’s paid to do?— Michael Morgan🍷⚽🎸 (@HeikoMo) February 14, 2020
Leeds United need to employ a roper translator. It’s embarrassing. @LUFC

How about employing a proper translater saves all the drama.

It’s gone on too long & Bielsa getting snappy with him a lot. Guy doesn’t want to be there & maybe a wake up call for Bielsa regarding his previous translator Salim.
