Looking back at former Leeds United midfielder Bradley Johnson’s screamer against Arsenal in the 2011 FA Cup third round, many Whites supporters have remembered the moment fondly on social media after an upload from the club’s official account – calling it an ‘absolute peach‘ and ‘unsaveable‘ while debating their ex-ace.
Johnson, who started in midfield that game alongside Jonny Howson, had to watch on as his side succumbed to a 3-1 defeat regardless of his screamer – with striker Robin Van Persie eventually sealing the result beyond all doubt.
However, despite the eventual result, many Leeds fans have debatably looked back at that moment with great memories while debating the player overall – with Johnson lashing a brilliant left-footed effort past Wojciech Szczęsny much to the delight of the Elland Road supporters. The Englishman made 137 appearances for the club all competitions, scoring 17 goals and assisting 10 others before leaving in the summer of 2011 (Transfermarkt).
Here’s how Leeds supporters discussed their former midfield man on social media.
