Leeds United: Fans gush over club enactment of Fulham game on FIFA 2020
Responding to a post by Leeds United’s official account, many Whites supporters have been in awe over the continued club move to host matches on FIFA 2020 to alleviate boredom during the EFL’s suspension – with one fan jokingly claiming that it is ‘obviously the way to decide the season’.
Last weekend, Leeds hosted a FIFA simulation of the would-be Cardiff City trip – with 7,394 watching the match live with 50,000 views on Periscope (Yorkshire Evening Post). On Wednesday evening, the Whites club account opted to repeat the move by playing out the planned Fulham encounter in similar circumstances – with stunning virtual strikes from Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison sealing a 2-0 victory for the FIFA Leeds side.
In response to the club’s effort to entertain fans through any means necessary, many Whites supporters have lauded the move to continue these games – with one supporter claiming that the club is ‘brilliant‘ for doing so.
