Leeds United fans were hitting out at Eddie Nketiah after the Arsenal loanee made his first start in the win over Birmingham City.
After joining the Elland Road side in the summer transfer window, the north London outfit were said to be concerned with the lack of action for the 20-year-old with a potential recall on the cards (via The Daily Mail).
Nketiah has only started in one of the club’s 25 league games in the Championship this season, amassing a total of just 454 minutes (via WhoScored).
However, his impact has still been quite fruitful with the youngster scoring the winning goal in the games against Brentford and Barnsley.
His lack of starts this season was explained by manager Marcelo Bielsa, who claimed that the England under-21 international ‘focuses too much on scoring himself’ (via The Metro).
His performance against Birmingham didn’t go down well among some fans as they took to Twitter to lash out at the forward.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
Nketiah has a bright future, he has fantastic goalscoring ability.
But he’s no Patrick Bamford.

Watch it back, Nketiah doesnt close down properly which forces Harrison to press the ball as Dean is running unchallenged into our half, Alioski has to follow Bellingham which creates the gap. If Nketiah gets goal side/closes Dean down properly we aren’t out of position

Defending starts at front do feel Dallas exposes us in middle aswell one issue with Nketiah is lack of outball at times don’t win much in air and hold ball up

Bamford >>> Nketiah. It you didnt saw that today so you are blind and today we saw why he is a first choice in attack.

When Nketiah plays, we concede on average every 64 minutes. When Bamford plays it’s an average once every 170 minutes. Big difference.

Everyone asking Nketiah to stay. We scored FIVE and not one did he score from or assist. Did nothing. Bamford is genuinely better than him. #lufc

Nketiah is getting bullied and the midfield have no control at all
