Leeds United: Fans hit out at referee after club’s tweet about Fulham penalty

Leeds United fans were hitting out at the referee after the club’s official Twitter account tweeted out a video of Fulham’s penalty at the weekend.
The club’s account appeared to mock the referee’s decision to award the west London side a penalty as they shared the video with the definition of the words ‘contact sport’.

With just six minutes of the game gone, Aleksandar Mitrovic headed the ball across the box with Ben White adjudged to have pushed Bobby Reid to the ground.
It was the opening goal of the game as the Whites succumbed to a 2-1 defeat, their second loss of the season in London following the game against Charlton Athletic.
Fans were hitting out at the referee after the tweet about the penalty incident as they took to the social media website to react to the post.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
Gets more ridiculous each time I see it. Poor officials never seem to face any repurcussions and their inadequacy just gets covered up so it will never improve either.

Slip.
(verb)
lose one’s footing and slide unintentionally or intentionally for a short distance to con an official, gaining an advantage, unfairly.

The Fulham player actually backs in to White who uses his arm to steady himself for the header…..ludicrous decision…..he then lost control of the game because of it
