Leeds United: Fans laud Gaetano Berardi after performance in win over Hull City

Leeds United fans were lauding Gaetano Berardi after the defender’s performance in the 2-0 win over Hull City last night.
The Swiss man was in superb form as goals from Jordy de Wijs (an own goal) and Ezgjan Alioski secured the side’s seventh consecutive win in the Championship.
Berardi made the joint-second most interceptions and the second-most clearances as he helped Marcelo Bielsa’s side reduce the Tigers to just two shots on target (via WhoScored).
After a slow start to the season, featuring in just three of the opening nine league games, the 31-year-old has now started seven of the last 12 (via Transfermarkt).
The Switzerland international was given a seven out of 10 by Leeds Live, who commented on his improvement after a poor start.
Fans were lavishing the experienced centre-half with praise as they took to Twitter to react to his performance.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

tonight has only confirmed that gaetano berardi is in fact the only man for me

After all the stick he got when wrongly sent off against Millwall, I can even begin to explain how chuffed I am for Berardi right now. He still has passion and fight in abundance, but his play and discipline are unrecognisable these days. Outstanding tonight imho. #lufc pic.twitter.com/UWFbi2wQTi

Berardi my MOTM tonight. Thought he was outstanding. Swept everything up and helped deal with those little dangerous moments against what is a very decent Hull attack. They keep on grinding them out. #lufc

Absolutely outstanding. 7 wins in a row.
Best I think I’ve seen Berardi play.
Dallas had Bowen in his pocket all game.
Alioski scores again.
Kiko is world class.
11 points clear of 3rd.
Best league start since 99/00?
FT 2-0 #lufc #WAFLLDon’t you know?
